5-3/4″ of snow. To a northerner, that’s nothing. To Atlanta, that halts commerce for a full week.
Our roads in the neighborhood were ice rutted and dangerous for a full week. Which means no mail for a full week. As addicted to email as I am, I missed printed mail. The colors, graphic design and photos of the different postcards, discount offers from stores – one of which I will use today, the same day I received it – and of course bills, which also had advertising included. And the box of Cracker Jack, courtesy of Nick Print – thanks for the smile!
All of this made a bigger impact on me than any of the banner ads on-line. Yes, I use the web a lot for research, but I don’t always remember the ads for related services. I go to websites for contents, not ads. Not even ads for related services.
But when I pick up a piece of mail, it has my full attention, at least for that moment. Keep or recycle bin. That moment is quite a bit longer than the moment my eyes pass by an ad on-line. Which means I remember it for just that much longer.
Print is a great way to get your name out there in front of your clients. You can tell them about special offers, upcoming tradeshows,
or just thank them for their business. Print is a much more personal way of communication, your messages is in their hands. So when you need to reach out to your clients, think about using print. And if you need help with getting your idea on paper, give me a call.
